Cozy Malibu Engagement Session

Katie & Stu met at a best friend’s wedding in Ohio. Stu was the best man and Katie was a bridesmaid (how cute is that?). Katie said that she “immediately noticed Stu’s smile. Someone was pulling him by his tie onto the dance floor and I wished I was that person.” The feeling was mutual. Stu remembers “seeing her at the rehearsal dinner and just being so smitten. Her smile really lit up the room.” Their long distance relationship, which started when Stu asked Katie to be friends on Facebook, only made them realize they had something really special. In the words of Katie: “We started commenting on each other’s walls… and then not long after, Stu sent me a message. We just started messaging long letters back and forth to each other, and every time they got longer and more awesome. We finally knew we had to meet, so we planned a weekend in Chicago for St. Patrick’s Day. Stu flew in from Florida and when we saw each other at the airport it felt like we should never be apart. The rest is history. We had such an amazing trip and every visit after, whether it was Florida, New Jersey, New York, LA, it was all so incredible. We stayed long distance for over a year and a half and, finally, both made it out to LA to be together.” First a surprise proposal in Chicago over Katie’s birthday weekend, and now they’re planning the rest of their lives together. Congrats you two.
