Jenny and Christopher (you might remember their engagement session here!) got married at the absolutely gorgeous Adamson House in Malibu, California. It was a beautiful day for guests to gather and witness two people in love start their forever after. Brought together by mutual friends and shared faith, these two are a perfect match. A proposal not too long ago happened when, in their words, “we got tea at our favorite tea shop and then went down to our favorite spot where we went after we were first dating, said “I love you” for the first time and had our first kiss.” Chris started to ask about their relationship and all the ways that Jenny had seen them grow together. Chris then shared about how he had seen them grow and got down on one knee to propose with a beautiful ring that once belonged to his great grandmother.

The result was a beautiful wedding at a historic house right on the beach. The girls spent the day getting ready in the pool house, and the guys relaxed close by. Shared moments with close friends and family, communion and finally the sharing of vows at their ceremony had Jenny and Christopher go from two people in love to husband and wife. Afterward, we got to wander the grounds with these two and photograph them on the beach, on the Adamson House balcony and inside the museum. Their reception was full of fun, heartfelt toasts and dancing, but the scene stealer was the gorgeous donut tower (that guests could not wait to ravish!).

An amazing day was undoubtedly had by all and Jenny and Christopher have a day they will never forget!

Stacey and Jason had no idea as they were heading out to a sweet 80’s Prom Party that they’d be meeting the love of each of their lives. In Stacey’s words, when she first saw Jason, “Of course, I thought he was cute. But he was just so nice! He offered to “be my friend” when I lost mine at the event we were at. He was quite the gentleman, he asked for my phone number, walked me home, called me 2 days later– he was just a sweet, sweet guy and it was refreshing.” After dating for a while came the proposal, “We were hiking on top of a mountain after we took the aerial tram in Palm Springs, there was snow on the ground, it was Valentines day weekend! I found this giant rock and sat on it… he told me to turn around so he could take my picture, i turned back around and he was on his knee with the ring.”

These two had a gorgeous wedding from beginning to end. Walnut Grove is beautiful on its own– once you add in some vintage details, peach florals, a fun lemonade stand and a gorgeous day, you have an absolutely stunning wedding. Guests danced the night away and an amazing sweets table that featured donuts stole the show!

Elise & Ki’s big day was so gorgeous! The morning started with Elise getting ready at their beautiful venue, The Estate on Second. It’s such a gorgeous location, with tons of natural light and red brick. Elise and Ki wanted to see each other before their ceremony, so we arranged a special and intimate set up in the venue’s upper room. The two of them got to see each other for the first time with no one else around (one of the reasons we love first looks!). After capturing a few moments of the bridal party in the space as well, we took them all outside! The venue is right on a pedestrian-only walkway, so it felt like we had this little downtown Santa Ana area to ourselves! A gorgeous ceremony, and some sunset shots (another favorite part of weddings for us!) and Elise and Ki danced the night away while guests grabbed treats from the adorable sweets table! Congrats you two!

It was actually a couple of mutual friends that brought these two together. Two of their best friends married each other, and Christopher and Jenny met for the first time at their newly married friends’ game night. But it wasn’t until another mutual friend’s going away party that they really started talking. “A couple of weeks after that, we went on our first date. We started dating a couple of months later and have been inseparable ever since!

We spent the day with Christopher and Jenny at the gorgeous, picturesque Vasquez Rocks. Jenny told us how she loved to be barefoot, and kept her shoes off for the first half of the shoot. That, along with her orange bohemian dress and flowing hair, fit the perfect care-free vibe of this location. We’re so looking forward to capturing their outdoor wedding later this month!

We spent the afternoon with Jill and Torsten roaming an adorable little farm in Moorpark. A red barn, rows of green crops and vine covered archways were the perfect backdrop to capture these two hanging out and loving on each other. I also loved Jill’s gorgeous bright red skirt! We can’t wait to capture their special day later this year in Malibu!
