Megan & Ray got married at the Long Beach Museum of Art. It was such a gorgeous venue with unique and interesting pieces of art everywhere, which is totally fitting since when Ray first saw Megan he said “she was beautiful and unique. When I saw her, it was like time stood still.” Megan’s dress and crystal crown were stunning. They had first looks on a balcony overlooking the ocean and tied the knot on the front lawn of the museum. Guests were given incense with their name on it (one of the most creative wedding favors we’ve seen!) and the tables were so beautiful! A mix of colored goblets, glasses, watercolored and calligraphy name cards and an assortment of different napkins, each topped with wood, wildflowers and crystal all wrapped up in twine. So gorgeous! They danced the night away under the stars.

Claudia and Michael’s Mountain Mermaid wedding wasn’t just gorgeous, it was super unique. They had decided to go with a Frida Kahlo inspiration (they had a Frida piñata!), and the results were stunning. The main colors were black and red, with tons of pink and bright peach accents. The flower girls had the most adorable floral headpieces, and Claudia’s headpiece was one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. They had their very moving and emotional first looks in a little hidden spot behind the ceremony site. After hanging out by the pool, and getting the bridal party in on the action, we brought everyone to the front (I love how many fun little photo spots this venue has). Their ceremony was beautiful and personal, full of poems, music and raw emotion. It was clear how over the moon these two were to be husband and wife. They were all smiles during their sunset shots and danced the night away as Mr. & Mrs.

Megan and Ray met when Megan was invited to see Ray’s band play. She missed the performance but they connected outside afterwards. After some dates, and Megan moving to Texas, they realized they didn’t want to be apart, they reconnected and have been together ever since.

These two are so excited for their big day (and it sounds like it’s going to be gorgeous, we can’t wait to be a part of it). But their engagement session was just about the two of them, spending an afternoon together, laughing, snuggling and just loving to be in each other’s company. We spent the first half of the shoot wondering around the Vasquez Rocks structures, and the second half walking around the interesting trees, shrubs and rocks. Claudia’s red dress was gorgeous and it was so sweet to see how excited Michael was to be by her side.

Rachel and Bart met three years ago at a mutual friend’s BBQ, and, in Rachel’s words, they’ve been “pretty much inseparable since meeting that day“. And the proposal was pretty much perfect: “He took me to San Francisco for the weekend. He wanted to take me on a hike in Mt. Tamalpais to Cataract Falls. After the hike we stuffed ourselves with his favorite lunch spot Sol Food followed by ice cream cones in Sausalito. Then right before sunset he suggested watching from the viewpoint above the Golden Gate Bridge. I had raced to the edge to take in the view, and when I turned around he was on his knee. Of course, I cried! It was a very happy, relaxed, fun perfect day“.

We spent the afternoon at Paramount Ranch for their engagement session. The old western town, small church in the middle of a field and the beautiful landscape were a perfect fit for the laid back vibe of these two!
